The sorbent products that TROY OIL provides are ideal for any size of oil spill on water surfaces or in-plant applications. TROY OIL provides sorbents in a variety of shapes such as pads and rolls in different weights, widths, and sizes with different absorption levels. The high-quality sorbents provided by TROY OIL absorb up to 15 times their weight and leave less than 0.02% ash when incinerated.

 

In today’s world, non-woven products are either used as means of filtration by themselves or as a component in a more complicated filtration product or device. Sorbents provided by TROY OIL are composed of meltblown fabrics or fabrics with a spunbond web on one side (SM) or either side of the meltblown (SMS) to provide additional strength of the spunbond when needed.

 

Yellow-colored universal sorbents are designed for aggressive fluids such as inorganic water, soluble chemicals, acidic or alkaline liquids, solvents, toxic liquids, etc. They are durable, easy to apply, dimpled, and brightly coloured for easy identification of the absorbent as the one for dangerous fluids.

 

Antistatic sorbents are used for instances where flammable liquids or vapours may be present. These products are treated with a polypropylene topical solution to dissipate potential static build-up.  They are ideal for enclosed spaces having limited or no ventilation and can be used in a wide range of environments from the arctic to the desert.
